The increase of porch piracy is becoming a growing problem for merchants and customers alike. And as the holiday season officially kicks off with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, merchants and law enforcement are preparing for an increase in reports of package theft.
However, porch piracy isn't just a problem for ecommerce and retail merchants or local police; it also has a negative impact on delivery drivers who are often falsely accused. Such accusations linger in their permanent employment records and can damage a driver's future employment opportunities. It's unfair, to say the least.
